Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and artistry
- Maintain strict sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or enhancements
- Stay current on the latest trends in nail design, color theory, and industry techniques to offer innovative services
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items, polishes, and tools to enhance client satisfaction and business growth
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of workstations and adhering to health regulations at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a positive experience that encourages repeat visits and referrals
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with specialization in nail technology from an accredited program
- Proven experience working as a licensed nail technician in a professional setting within the beauty industry
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and safety protocols for nail care services
- Familiarity with advanced treatments such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their needs
- Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Knowledge of additional beauty services like hair styling, hair extensions, barbering, hair threading, or lash extensions is advantageous but not required
