Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves a variety of custodial tasks, including commercial cleaning, floor care, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations across multiple facilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
