As ZAGG’s Transportation and Logistics Manager, you will optimize transportation and logistics operations through data-driven strategies, strong partnerships, process improvements, and industry best practices to improve scalability, gross margin, budget performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive monthly reporting to VP of Operations regarding results to key initiatives and projects.
- Develop monthly and quarterly financial budgets for transportation and warehousing and report back to internal stakeholders on performance.
- Coordinate the effective use of carriers to meet inbound and outbound capacity, service, and least-cost objectives.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute to gross margin opportunities within the supply chain.
- Prepare monthly and yearly volume forecasts for 3PL and transportation partners.
- Evaluate 3PL/transportation partner performance (scorecards) and lead quarterly business reviews.
- Negotiate transportation rates and contracts.
- Establish specific supply-chain performance metrics that drive success to the company’s goals.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, OTIF, and reduce damages and delays.
- Recommend purchases of new or improved technology and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
- Provide timely communication loop back to sales, product, and/or factory teams to improve overall company performance.
- Ensure accurate billing and claims are resolved in a timely manner.
- Manage inbound cost points including Duties, HTS codes, and freight.
- Other duties as determined by the COO.
- At least 8 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to work with international and domestic freight forwarders.
- Ability to work independently with head office or vendor.
- Self-motivated, responsible, independent, hardworking, and willing to work under pressure.
- Fluent English skills, written and spoken.
- Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
