Build Procurement at Fenix Parts
Fenix Parts is creating an enterprise procurement function and seeking a hands-on, strategic leader to build it. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Procurement will assess more than $50 million in diverse, fragmented spending; identify weaknesses and value opportunities; design the roadmap; implement the processes; and establish the audits and accountability needed to sustain results.
Your Mission
· Create enterprise visibility and discipline across $50M+ in spend.
· Build category strategies that improve cost, supplier performance, risk, and working capital.
· Establish practical procurement governance, controls, reporting, and contract management.
· Partner across the business to drive adoption, audit compliance, and prevent backsliding.
What Success Looks Like
· First 90 days: Complete the spend and supplier diagnostics, identify priority risks and opportunities, establish executive reporting, and align on a transformation roadmap.
· By 180 days: Launch core governance, sourcing standards, supplier segmentation, contract disciplines, and a verified savings pipeline; begin executing priority category strategies.
· By 12 months: Deliver measurable financial and operational improvements, embedded dashboards and audit routines, strengthen supplier performance, and define the next wave of value creation.
What You Will Bring
· 10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and ability to travel within the United States.
· Demonstrated success building or transforming procurement in a multi-location organization.
· Experience managing a large, diverse spend portfolio and delivering verified value.
· Strong commercial, contracting, analytical, and supplier-management capability.
· A private equity mindset and a hands-on, low-ego style: urgency, ownership, financial fluency, and constructive challenge.
