Houston's Inc. is currently hiring for a Warehouse Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operations of our new distribution center in Concord, North Carolina. Compensation:
- $85,000 - $95,000 annually
- Discretionary quarterly bonuses

Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee employees’ performance to ensure departmental duties and goals are executed timely, provide guidance, support, and identify development needs.
- Build and maintain a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Human Resources regarding any personnel issues.
- Review timecards to ensure employees’ time is accurately recorded and complete.
- Approve time off requests and manage staffing needs such as scheduling coverage.
- Coach and train employees for performance improvement and development.
- Distribute and delegate labor tasks according to individual strengths.
- Supervise the activities of all warehouse staff and manage departmental staffing needs by recruiting, hiring, training new staff, and retaining skilled staff, in coordination with the HR dept.
Functions or Duties:
- Coordinate all operational aspects of the warehouse startup including facility readiness, equipment installation, warehouse organization, vendor coordination, and operational implementation.
- Manage all aspects of warehouse operations including inventory, shipping, receiving, maintenance, janitorial, yard maintenance, distribution, warehouse layout, and staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to: Purchasing, Transportation, Inside Sales, and Accounting to ensure customer and business needs are being met.
- Work with the supervisory team to oversee regular coaching and training to existing and new warehouse staff
- Manage activities in warehouse to meet goals, quality standards and cost objectives.
- Ensure materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory areas, packaged according to specifications and shipped in a timely manner.
- Follow established company and industry guidelines for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintain and analyze reporting tracking the efficiency of departmental procedures.
- Assess headcount requirements and labor needs, and make request for hiring in a timely manner.
- Implement and follows established corporate procedures and policies.
- Participate in company documentation, audits, and procedural maintenance and revision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills
- Highly motivated with strong leadership skill, and have the ability to follow set corporate processes, procedures and policies with minimal supervision.
- Familiar with motorized operating equipment (e.g., forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.).
- Familiar with inventory control measures, including coordination of physical inventory and cycle count activities, maintenance of adequate audit trails for verification and security purposes and a working understanding of basic data entry and document retention.
- Strong organizational, team building, and leadership skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with management from other departments, including senior management.
- Thorough knowledge of safety practices within a warehouse environment. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years warehouse management experience in a distribution warehouse environment.
- Experience setting up new warehouse or distribution centers preferred
- Experience in food and beverage distribution preferred.

- Work in environments with exposure to cold, heat, loud noises, and machinery while performing job duties.
- Utilize close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Screening: Must be able to pass a non-THC drug test and background check.
Travel: Travel during the first year will include approximately 2–5 weeks for training and operational support in Oregon and Kansas City and may occur over multiple trips.
After first year, expected travel: 5%
