ABOUT J&J LOADING
We're on the Job Before Anyone Else
J&J Loading is a specialized roof tile loading company serving residential and commercial roofing contractors across Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Our job is simple: get the right material on the right roof, safely and on time, so roofing crews can hit the ground running.
We run a professional operation with a tight-knit crew. If you're reliable, take pride in your work, and can handle a fast-moving day with multiple job sites — this is the kind of company you'll want to stick with.
THE POSITION
Operator + Crew Lead. Not Just a Driver.
This is a lead role. You're not just hauling material — you're running the telehandler, leading a crew of 3–4 roof loaders, coordinating with contractors and homeowners, and making sure every job site is left better than you found it. The physical heavy lifting is on your crew. Your job is to operate, communicate, and problem-solve.
Every day looks different. You'll hit 1–4 job sites across the county, routes change daily, and no two sites are exactly alike. If you thrive on variety and can think on your feet, you'll excel here.
DAY IN THE LIFE
What a Typical Shift Looks Like
5:00–6:00 AM Start time
Report to company yard. Pre-trip inspection on the tractor-trailer and telehandler. Load up and brief your crew.
En Route
Drive to first job site.
You're hauling the telehandler and crew. Coordinate with dispatch on the day's route and any site-specific notes.
On Site
Assess, photograph, and execute.
Document site conditions before work begins. Operate the telehandler to load tile onto the roof per the contractor's specs. Crew handles manual labor under your direction.
Site Wrap-Up
Document and move.
Photos after completion. Report any issues to dispatch immediately. Protect the property — driveways, landscaping, and roof surfaces are your responsibility.
Repeat
1–4 sites daily.
Routes are always different. You'll need strong communication and quick thinking to keep each stop running smooth.
End of Day
Return to yard when dispatch is complete.
Total shift is typically 10–12 hours. You're home every night.
WHAT WE CARE ABOUT MOST
The Four Priorities of This Role
01 SAFETY
Every decision on site starts here. Crew safety, homeowner safety, bystanders. No exceptions.
02 PROPERTY CARE
Driveways, landscaping, rooftop surfaces — full property awareness is expected on every job.
03 DOCUMENTATION
Before, during, and after photos on every job. Digital records through your phone app.
04 COMMUNICATION
You're the link between contractors, homeowners, your crew, and dispatch. Clear and prompt, always.
