SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager is responsible for daily operations and oversight of assigned Food & Beverage outlet(s), including restaurants, and bar/beverage service. This position assists the Manager/Director with planning and pricing menus, preparation of food/beverage, adhering to agreed prices and budgets, maintaining applicable quality standards, sanitation, hygiene, health/safety regulations, working policies and procedures, as well as production and performance of applicable team members. Ensures exceptional guest service while motivating, training, and supervising Team Members engaged in serving food, beverages, cleaning, and other front-of-house duties. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.

Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.

Monitor Guest satisfaction regarding Food & Beverage offerings and communicate details or critical information to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Coordinate the planning and training for each Team Member in each assigned Food & Beverage outlet.

Assist in development of assigned outlet budget and monitor the flow of revenue and expenditures.

Create schedules for Food & Beverage Manager approval.

Maintain compliance with all applicable Tribal, Federal, and State Health Department policies and regulations for safety, sanitation, and food storage and preparation.

Assist in monitoring Food & Beverage costs routinely and implement controls as required.

Maintain correct staffing levels according to business needs, budget and industry standards.

Know and understand applicable Local, State, and Federal gaming laws and regulations, as well as internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Attend all management meetings and other meetings as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.

Conduct regular performance appraisals with Team Members, identifying areas for development, training, and recognition.

Resolve guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner and keep Food & Beverage Manager informed.

Circulate throughout assigned outlets and maintain a high profile with Guests & Staff.

Assist with hiring, training, promoting, performance evaluations, disciplining, and terminating employees with concurrence of the Director of Hospitality, the Director of Human Resources, and Chief Operating Officer/General Manager.

Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.

Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift,
carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to SO pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records, and files. Job may lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time. Must be able to move and maneuver a full keg.

Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.

Associate's degree (AA) in Hospitality or related field and at least 2 years of experience (at least 1 year of which must be in a lead or supervisory capacity) or an equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.

High School diploma or GED is required.

Mid-level computer proficiencies, specifically Microsoft Office, internal business software and related products.

Basic knowledge of budgeting.

Knowledge of gaming industry policies and practices preferred.
