Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and monitor health status to ensure safety and well-being
- Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands to promote a comfortable living environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Follow care plans meticulously, documenting observations and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals to coordinate care needs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home settings, or social work is preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed for mobility support.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and resident rights.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to implement effective care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Experience with memory care strategies is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a caregiver or in-home health support preferred
- Experience with Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine is advantageous
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and Level I Trauma Center protocols is beneficial
- Background in geriatrics, medical-surgical care, or post-acute care enhances your ability to serve diverse client needs
- Experience working in outpatient clinics or sub-acute care settings is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle inpatient care scenarios with professionalism and compassion
- Teaching hospital experience or OR (Operating Room) exposure adds valuable insight into complex medical environments
