Overview
Interim Learning Center Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the Good Counsel Learning Center (GCLC) is fulfilling its mission, successfully pursuing its strategy and operating in an effective, sustainable manner.

Governance
The Interim Administrator serves as the staff liaison to the Board of Directors and is responsible for cultivating strong and transparent relationships with the board as a whole. To do so, the Interim Administrator should provide the board with accurate, complete and timely information on the organization’s operations and finances.
In addition to being the staff liaison to the GCLC board, the Interim Administrator also serves as a liaison with the School Sisters of Notre Dame Central Pacific Province, who founded the Learning Center. Given that GCLC is an affiliated ministry of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), the Interim Administrator is responsible for ensuring the SSND charism, educational vision and ideals are represented in the Learning Center’s work.
Strategy/Communication
The Interim Administrator is responsible for representing the Learning Center in the community and assuring that all stakeholders are aware of important Learning Center initiatives. The Interim Administrator will lead efforts to move the Learning Center forward as directed by the Board of Directors. This may include partnerships with other non-profits or planning for the future structure of the organization.
Operations
The Interim Administrator oversees GCLC’s daily operations and collaborates with staff to ensure all programs are aligned with the organization’s mission and effectively run. Additionally, the Interim Administrator should seek to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment to support staff and volunteers in the discharge of their responsibilities. The Interim Administrator is responsible for relationship with landlord, for maintaining a safe environment and for agreements on the use of space.
Programming
In their role, the Interim Administrator manages the Academic Director – who is responsible for ensuring the creation and delivery of innovative, high-quality, and effective tutoring and workforce education programs. The Academic Director is also responsible for the profit and loss of the tutoring enterprise and manages the Learning Center’s paid and volunteer tutoring staff.
Financial Management
The Interim Administrator is responsible for managing the organization’s annual budget, managing its assets, ensuring sound financial practices are followed, and communicating the financial status of the organization with the Board on a regular basis. The Interim Administrator will also perform payroll functions and oversee financial matters such as banking and financial reporting.
Fundraising
The Interim Administrator will maintain relationships with key donors and stakeholders, and maintain the organization’s fundraising infrastructure (data base, correspondence, files, etc.).
Compliance and Reporting
The Interim Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Learning Center complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in managing organizations and staff
- Financial management experience
- Understanding of HR practices
- Familiarity with education and/or tutoring is beneficial
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
