General Summary of Duties:
The Restaurant Reservations Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for guests, visitors and callers. Make sure all of the information on the computer, OpenTable, and SevenRooms is current/accurate. Answer telephone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Examples of Duties (include but are not limited to the following):

Answer telephone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner

Request sufficient information from the caller to be able to make a reservation

Perform clerical duties such as typing correspondence and reports, filing and answering phones

Plotting the reservation book daily to ensure maximum capacity is accommodated

Provide administrative support to the management staff

Print menus and daily documents making updates as needed

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the restaurant.

Create and merge form documents

Create mailing lists and labels

Maintain and upkeep all office equipment

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:

Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
-
Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

Minimum of one (1) year experience as a reservationist in a fine dining restaurant a plus

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Requires food and beverage knowledge

Must possess basic computational ability; computer skills, including Word, TripleSeat, Excel, OpenTable, SevenRooms and account management software as well as familiarity with the dining room layout

Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Education:

High school or equivalent education required

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
