Position Summary:
We are hiring a PRN Primary Care Provider to join our collaborative and mission-driven team. This independent contractor role is ideal for experienced clinicians who are passionate about community health and want flexible, part-time hours. Candidates may include Physicians (MD/DO), Physician Associates (PA), or Nurse Practitioners (NP) licensed in Florida.
Schedule & Hours:
- 2 fixed shifts per week -times subject to change:
- Tuesday Morning: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Thursday Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
- ~10 hours/week (40 hours/month)
- Standby shift pay available if shifts are canceled without notice
- Optional additional hours as patient volume permits (not required)
- Occasional travel to our Tampa clinic with 48+ hours’ notice
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management
- Deliver HIV and STI-focused care, including screenings, rapid linkage to care, PrEP/PEP, and patient counseling
- Administer IV hydration therapy, support weight management, and conduct DOT and GYN visits as needed
- Perform routine exams, order and interpret labs, prescribe medication, and document all encounters in the EHR
- Coordinate care with clinic support staff and community case managers
- Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle changes, and wellness goals
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed MD, DO, PA, or NP in the state of Florida
- Experience in primary care and HIV/STI care strongly preferred
- DEA license required for prescribing
- DOT certification a plus (but not required)
- EHR proficiency in ECW is a plus
- Comfortable working with diverse, underserved populations
- No board sanctions in the past 10 years
Compensation & Details:
- $100/hour (contractor/invoice basis)
- Paid for full or half shift if clinic cancels with short notice
- Mileage reimbursement for approved travel >100 miles
- Clinic locations: Winter Haven (primary) and Tampa (occasional)
- Malpractice and liability insurance required (minimum $1M coverage)
- No benefits; independent contractor role
