American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an evening shift travel assignment in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Work setting is a large hospital OR complex with 23 operating rooms running out of 18 active suites
-
Patient population includes neurology, urology, oncology, gynecology, robotics, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, OMF, and general surgery cases

Patient ratio is 1:1

EMR is Epic

Schedule is evenings, 3x12, with shift hours from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
-
Weekend hours are required as needed by the facility

On-call is required: 2 primary and 2 backup calls over a 2-month call period with rotating self-sign-up opportunities; M–F call coverage runs 11:00 AM to 7:00 AM

Floating required as needed by the facility

13-week contract

Active OK RN license or compact RN license required at the time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled

Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required

No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs are not accepted)

Candidate personality fit: professional, enthusiastic, and willing to participate in all aspects of patient care and teamwork in and around perioperative areas

1+ years of travel nursing experience preferred; OR certification preferred

Light blue scrubs required; scrubs are provided by the facility

Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after that, they must either separate for a minimum of 1 year or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius
