Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST POS and relay them efficiently to kitchen staff
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas by bussing tables and managing food handling responsibilities
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and provide correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience in a food service environment is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as TOAST for order entry and payment processing
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving tables, taking orders, and handling payments
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting; familiarity with food industry standards for sanitation and food safety is essential
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
