Position Summary
As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for students. We support students ages 6 weeks of age to 4 years of age and are actively hiring for a wide range of classrooms. The lead educator will be in charge of:
- Implementing developmentally appropriate activities using the Kiddie Academy Life Essentials preplanned proprietary curriculum
- Engage hands on with students to educate them through play.
- Create a nurturing and responsive environment that prioritizes the safety and well-being of each child
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with parents regarding milestones, routines, and daily updates
- Observe and document children’s developmental progress
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines
- Support potty training and other transitional milestones as appropriate
- Attend training and professional development as required
Qualifications
- Must meet Kansas licensing requirements for Infant Lead Teachers
- CDA in Early Childhood Education is required
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Passion for early childhood education and commitment to creating a positive classroom culture
