To assist parents and administrators in creating an environment in which academic success is the main focus.
Plans a program of study that will meet the needs, interests, and abilities of the parents to help reinforce the child’s studies.
Establish a parent, student agreement for homework services
Provide reading instruction for struggling readers and writers
Prepare periodic evaluations of programs
Distribute surveys to parents, students and teachers
Guide the purchase of materials and supplies for all
Maintains program records as directed by the parent educator.
Assist with scheduling visits with all parent satellite centers.
Works with sites and staff selected for participation.
Assist in preparing for and implementing workshops at all sites.
Attends professional development training sessions.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precaution to protect parents, staff, equipment, material and facilities.
Maintains records of all parent involvement activities/meetings at the center.
Attends staff meetings and serves on assigned staff committees.
Prepares reports as requested
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
