Experienced land surveyor sought to schedule, coordinate and manage a small surveying department for a busy surveying and engineering company located on Long Beach Island.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join and manage our surveying and drafting department. Schedule the survey crew, research deeds and maps, verify the information provided on survey plans prepared by the firm, prepare Elevation Certificates and other tasks typically associated with a surveyor. Although a Licensed Land Surveyor is preferred, having a license is not a requirement.
Duties
- Establish the schedule for each land survey to be completed
- Set-up stake-outs for new construction
- Verify the information provided on surveys prepared by our drafting team
- Collaborate and coordinate with architects, engineers and general contractors.
- Prepare FEMA Elevation Certificates
Skills
- Experience in land surveying techniques including GPS, total station operation and data collection methods
- Experience with CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD and Carlson
- Ability to operate Leica equipment is a plus-
- Ability to obtain the necessary information from architectural or engineering plans
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
