Purpose:
The Behavioral Health Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the operational administrative, marketing, IT coordination, and medical records functions for the Behavioral Health Unit. This position assists with maintaining efficient daily operations coordinating communication between departments, supporting staff with technical needs, promoting community awareness and recruitment initiatives, and ensuring medical records and documentation are maintained accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in supporting the Behavioral Health leadership team and promoting a positive, organized and professional environment for patients, staff, physicians and visitors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
MEDICAL RECORDS/HIM SUPPORT
· Scan, rename, organize, and upload medical records into the EMR system while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
· Conduct chart audits and review documentation for completeness and compliance.
· Communicate with providers and clinical staff regarding incomplete or missing documentation.
· Assist with maintaining compliance with HIPAA, state, federal and hospital documentation requirements.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COORDINATION
· Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting assistance for staff related to hardware, software, printers, phones, internet connectivity, and basic concerns.
· Coordinate and communicate with remote support teams and outside vendors regarding technical issues and system maintenance.
· Maintain and monitor the IT ticketing system to ensure technical support requests are addressed in a timely manner.
· Submit and coordinate support tickets for hospital systems, including EMR, pharmacy systems and other operational platforms
· Assist with set up and maintenance of employee access, devices, and basic technology support.
MARKETING / SOCIAL MEDIA
· Create marketing materials and promotional content for the hospital and Behavioral Health Unit using Canva and other approved platforms, including flyers, graphics. Recruitment materials, social media posts, and event advertisements.
· Manage and maintain the hospital’s social media presence by creating content, scheduling posts, and promoting community initiatives and events.
Coordinate with community organizations, vendors, schools, and partners regarding outreach events, career fairs, and awareness campaigns.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Desirable characteristics include experience in medical billing, HIM, basic computer knowledge, marketing and social media management, EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS: Must be able to follow directions and perform work independently according to department and industry standards. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively and appropriately under stressful and emergent situations.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
