Travel RN - Telemetry

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of Med/Tele experience.

Active CA RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of current Med/Tele experience required
Graduate of an accredited nursing school required, BSN preferred
Community hospital experience required
Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Prior travel nursing experience required
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
Experience managing cardiac drips and vasoactive medications
Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and wound care
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Deliver holistic, individualized nursing care including assessment, care coordination, and patient/family education in an acute care setting
Develop and implement care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely, effective communication
Foster teamwork while managing multiple interventions in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Utilize critical thinking to solve routine and complex patient care problems
Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with PHI regulations
Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only one holiday request approved per contract
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
Returning travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before reapplying
Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
First-time travelers may be considered if travel experience requirement is met
