Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food assembly according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Support the kitchen team with meal preparation, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and workstations by washing and sanitizing in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
- Support catering events and special functions by helping with setup, serving, and cleanup processes.
- Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, food handling, and sanitation to uphold health standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods enhances your candidacy.
- Strong knife skills and experience in meal preparation are highly desirable.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations and serving customers.
- Food Safety Certification.
