The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the main communication link between customers and technicians. This role involves understanding customer concerns, scheduling service appointments, managing repair progress, and setting clear expectations to ensure a positive service experience.

Schedule vehicle service appointments in person or by phone and ensure accurate problem diagnosis

Communicate repair status and notify customers if timelines change

Obtain customer authorization for repair estimate revisions

Make repair recommendations and coordinate service delivery while managing customer expectations

Verify quality control and perform road tests on completed repairs

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, recalls, and service bulletins

Meet or exceed service level targets

Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulations

Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures

Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education

Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum of one year of experience at a dealer-level or large automotive facility preferred

Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record

Professional appearance and dependable work ethic

Strong safety awareness and customer service skills

Basic computer proficiency and internet navigation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to read and understand instructions clearly

Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects as needed
