Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while processing transactions and assisting with their needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle cash transactions accurately will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and returns.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with cash registers and retail math concepts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Previous experience in upselling or sales techniques is a plus.
