Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
- Support children’s emotional and behavioral development through positive behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Assist in lesson planning and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare policies at all times.
- Support classroom organization by managing supplies, documenting student progress, and preparing materials for daily activities.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and implement classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing training in childhood safety is highly valued.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, inclusive education practices, and working within mandated reporting laws.
