Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of an assigned pharmacy area. This role oversees departmental activities, staff development, workflow management, productivity, clinical operations, and performance improvement initiatives. The Supervisor-Pharmacy may assist with budget planning, provide operational recommendations to leadership, and ensure departmental goals align with organizational objectives while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy personnel through education, training, and competency validation.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with leadership, physicians, nursing, and other departments.
Support employee performance management activities, including competency assessments, coaching, and developmental planning.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, accreditation standards, pharmacy laws, and organizational policies.
Promote a culture of patient safety, employee safety, quality improvement, and operational excellence.
