Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently isseeking an experienced professional to serve as the Dining Room Manager, on an As-Needed Basis in our dining services department at our Presbyterian Village, Athens campus.
This position works on an As-Needed basis - meaning it offers great schedule flexibility - based on the needs of the department and your availability!

The Dining Room Manager is a dynamic position that is responsible for supervising the dining room staff to ensure that quality services are provided to our senior adults, residents and staff. This position will ensure that our residents and their families are served excellent meals in an great setting with an efficient and friendly focus.
In this guest facing role you will need to have strong customer service and interpersonal skills to be successful. We look for people with great leadership presence and a dynamic attitude who can also anticipate and provide a quality dining experience for our residents.

The ideal candidate will use leadership, critical thinking, and customer service skills to:
- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of all dining rooms, dining areas/venues, etc.
- Schedule dining room staff to ensure excellent coverage.
- Serve as a role model in providing dining service to our residence.
- Assist with training team members.
- Maintain proper dining room set up for meals, events and functions.
- Assist in special events.
- Monitor appropriate checklists in support of the dining area cleanliness, readiness, standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing a superior dining experience.
- Ensure excellent employee retention through coaching & training.
The ideal applicant should have the following minimum qualifications:
- Flexibility to work "As-Needed"
- A Caring Heart and a Passion for serving Senior Adults.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising large scale dining operations, such as fine dining / casual dining restaurants, event venues, hotels, etc.
- Five (5) years experience in dining services, food service management or similar field is preferred.
- Experience with planning schedules and properly scheduling staff.
- Proven ability to lead employees in a positive, productive manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to manage, multi-task and communicate effectively.
- Strong project management skills.
- Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Additionally, experience working in a Life Planned Community, continuing care retirement community, and/or Assisted Living facility is strongly preferred.
