At Little People’s Creative Workshop, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, creativity, movement, imagination, and meaningful connection. Through hands-on creative experiences, we help young children grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy while partnering with schools and families to create enriching early learning environments.
We are seeking a warm, organized, driven, and energetic Regional Director to lead and grow programming within the NOVA Region. This role combines leadership, relationship-building, creativity, and teaching. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, communicates professionally with schools and families, and thrives in both classroom and administrative settings.
Position Summary
The Regional Director oversees the success and growth of Little People’s Creative Workshop programs throughout their designated region. This includes teaching classes for children ages 2–5, supporting instructors, building relationships with schools and parents, coordinating schedules and supplies, and ensuring programs are delivered with excellence and care.
This is a leadership role for someone who is creative, dependable, nurturing, and highly organized.
Responsibilities | Program Leadership & Regional Oversight
- Oversee all Little People’s Creative Workshop programs within NOVA region
- Ensure classes are implemented consistently and with excellence across schools and locations
- Support and mentor instructors within the region
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training team members
- Maintain strong relationships with school directors, administrators, and staff
- Conduct regular communication and check-ins with partner schools
- Monitor program quality, attendance, and overall experience for families and schools
- Assist with regional growth and expansion opportunities
Teaching & Classroom Instruction
- Teach engaging creative enrichment classes for children ages 2–5
- Lead age-appropriate activities involving art, sensory play, movement, storytelling, creativity, and exploration
- Create a warm, encouraging, and structured classroom environment
- Manage classroom behavior positively and professionally
- Foster creativity, confidence, and social development in young learners
- Arrive prepared with lesson materials and supplies for each class
Parent & School Communication
- Communicate professionally and warmly with parents regarding schedules, class updates, and student participation
- Serve as the primary contact for schools within the region
- Address parent or school concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Build strong community relationships that reflect the values and mission of the organization
Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities
- Coordinate instructor schedules and regional class calendars
- Maintain attendance records and program documentation
- Organize and manage classroom supplies and materials
- Assist with event planning, showcases, camps, or seasonal workshops
- Ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed
- Support marketing and enrollment efforts within the region as needed
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children, preferably ages 2–5
- Background in education, early childhood development, arts education, theater, dance, creative enrichment, or related field preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple schools, schedules, and responsibilities
- Energetic, creative, nurturing, and dependable
- Comfortable leading groups of young children in active classroom settings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to travel throughout assigned region
