Part-Time Chiropractor — Rehab & Soft Tissue Focus, Workers' Comp & Auto Injury (Georgetown, DE)
Job type: Part-time · 15–20 hours/week Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
Anticipated start: January–March 2027
About the role
We treat injured workers and motor vehicle accident patients inside an interventional pain management practice with an on-site medical director.
This is a rehabilitation and soft tissue focus practice. Manipulation is one tool among several.
Patient flow will likely be two patients at a time on staggered starts — roughly two per hour, managed simultaneously rather than back to back. Typically one patient starts on passive modalities while you give the other your full, undivided attention for hands-on work and supervised exercise. Then you swap. The passive component tapers as the patient progresses.
In the treatment area, you work alone. No CA, no tech, no aide. You room your own patients, set up and break down your own modalities, instruct and progress every exercise yourself, turn over your own tables, and write your own notes.
We are not looking for someone who will be a good sport about this. We are looking for someone who is good at it — a clinician who can hold two treatment plans in their head at once, keep both patients working, and still finish the day's notes.
No commercial insurances.
There are no prior authorization portals, no visit caps to appeal, no peer-to-peer calls to justify the next four visits.
The support you do have
Reception and front desk handle scheduling, patient calls, and check-in. Our support staff handle records requests, chart uploads, and document routing, and coordinate correspondence.
A meaningful portion of our patients speak Spanish or Haitian Creole, and we have full-time staff fluent in both available to interpret during your visits. If you speak either language yourself, tell us — it's a significant plus and will be reflected in the offer.
What we're looking for
Rehabilitative exercise. You can take a patient from acute injury through a graded, progressive program to work-ready, and defend that progression clinically.
Manual soft tissue therapy. Real training, not incidental exposure. Examples: dry needling (where within your scope and properly credentialed), Graston or other IASTM certification, Active Release Technique, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, etc... Other soft tissue modalities are welcome — tell us what you use and how.
Comp and auto documentation. Causal relationship between mechanism and findings, objective functional outcome measures at defined intervals, and work restrictions that are specific and defensible. If you find this charting tedious, this is the wrong practice. We can and will provide training on these requirements.
Schedule and pay
Fifteen to twenty hours a week, hourly, with no production quotas or visit targets. This is a new department, so the shape of the week is open — three five-hour days, two full days plus a half day, or another arrangement that works for both of us. Tell us what you're looking for.
On timing: we expect this service to open between January and March 2027. We are starting the search early because we would rather wait for the right clinician than fill the role quickly. If you are currently employed and looking to add part-time hours, or your availability opens up on that timeline, we can work with you to start at a time which works for you.
This role is probably not for you if
- Your visits are primarily manipulation with passive modalities around them
- You need a clinical assistant to handle setup, takedown, or exercise instruction
- You want to build your own patient base or bring cash-pay services in
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- In the treatment area you work alone — no aide, tech, or assistant — and you will manage two patients at a time on staggered starts. (Administrative support for scheduling, records, and correspondence is provided.) Are you willing to work this way?
