Duties
- Supervise all aspects of food preparation, service, and bar operations to ensure seamless daily performance.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated and efficient team.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Business Development for daily, weekly activations to drive sales and awareness of the location.
- Operate POS systems such as Toast for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and restaurant health regulations through regular inspections.
- Coordinate shift management, including opening, closing, and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
- Lead customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and handle any issues promptly.
- Implement budgeting strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to build a strong team culture.
- Oversee kitchen management tasks related to food production, culinary quality, and food handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management within a tavern, sports bar or pub..
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
- Hands-on experience with Toast POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising or team management experience in hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and food safety regulations.
- Background in casual dining or sports bar environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on staff training & development and customer service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including shift management, budgeting, and operational oversight.
- Culinary experience or hospitality management background preferred; training & development skills are highly valued.
