Sunrise Produce Company is a leading wholesale produce distributor in Southern California, providing customers with the freshest selection of fruits, vegetables, specialty items, and fresh-cut produce. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Anaheim, California.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's quality systems. This role manages customer complaints, develops corrective and preventive action plans, and ensures compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that all operations are conducted in accordance with SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), FDA regulations, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), company safety policies, and other applicable requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee product quality programs and customer complaint investigations.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.
- Define, document, and maintain product specifications, ensuring compliance during production.
- Manage and monitor food safety, sanitation, food defense, and food security programs across all departments.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Enforce Sunrise Produce policies, GMPs, food safety, and food defense procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of produce and/or warehouse experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Quality control procedures
- Food safety and sanitation programs
- Production processes
- GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations
- Experience in the produce industry required.
- Knowledge of Produce Pro software preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a strong plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
