Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product questions, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with merchandising efforts
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, maintaining professionalism at all times
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve diverse customer needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store operations enhances your fit for this role
