Overview
Brilliance Academy is a private school for students in grades 6th-12th, using a web-based curriculum. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Teacher/Student Success Coach to join our educational team during the school year (10 months). The Teacher/Student Sucess Coach will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for students of various age groups. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining academic integrity while providing support and guidance to students during their web-based assignments. The ideal candidate will have experience in education, particularly in classroom management and tutoring, and possess a passion for helping students succeed.
Duties
- Supervise students to ensure compliance with academy's protocols.
- Prepare the testing environment by setting up materials and ensuring all necessary equipment is functioning.
- Monitor student behavior and address any issues that may arise during the day.
- Provide assistance to students as needed, including clarifying instructions or addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the day using SIS system.
- Finalize student grades using SIS gradebook and the student platform upon course completion.
- Engage students by encouraging completion of courses providing positive feedback.
- Make necessary announcements about upcoming events to all students.
- Send welcome letter emails to all students at the beginning of the year and to new students throughout the year, including start dates and login information.
- Call parents about student progress and/or meet with them.
- Plan extracurricular lesson plans and/or projects for students.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills are required to effectively supervise students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with parents, students, and staff.
- Ability to educate and support diverse learners.
- Previous tutoring experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to assist students in understanding the material.
- Ability to meet deadlines.

Hours
Monday - Friday - 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM (regular school year)
Background Level II required.
