Job Overview
The Neuro Rehab Nurse (RN) provides clinical oversight, nursing care coordination, and health-related leadership for individuals with acquired brain injuries served through NeuRoads Community Living Services. This role ensures continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and coordination of medical and health supports across residential programs.
Duties
- Provide professional nursing services within the scope of RN licensure for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized health care plans and ADL Health Care Summaries.
- Coordinate and oversee health and hygiene needs of individuals served.
- Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs, medication aides, and direct support staff; ensure competency and compliance.
- Provide medication management oversight and ensure medication administration practices meet policy and standards.
- Monitor health status, identify changes in condition, and communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with Assisted Living, ICF/IID, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide staff training related to health needs, infection control, medication administration, and emergency response.
- Participate in ISP, IDT, and other interdisciplinary meetings.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and nursing notes.
- Conduct routine supervisory and health monitoring visits to residential homes.
- Ensure safe environments and investigate health or safety concerns.
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical guidance during crisis situations.
- Support quality assurance, compliance, and operational needs across NeuRoads homes.
- Provide transportation as required and comply with ARCA transportation standards.
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect; report suspected abuse or neglect per law and policy.
- Abuse / Neglect / Emergency Situations treats individuals served with dignity and respect at all times and reports suspected abuse or neglect per law and policy.
- HIPAA Compliance & Confidentiality has full access to PHI necessary to carry out job duties in compliance with HIPAA and ARCA policies.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards and clinical best practices.
- Ability to assess health status and develop nursing plans of care.
- Ability to coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide leadership, training, and clinical guidance.
- Basic computer, documentation, and EMR skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum one (1) year professional nursing experience preferred; neuro rehab or developmental disability experience preferred.
- Negative tuberculosis test or physician clearance required.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license with acceptable driving record and insurance approval required.
- Compliance with all ARCA policies and procedures required.
- E&O (professional liability) insurance required per ARCA policy.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- ARCA is Federally funded, the use of legalized marijuana, or medical marijuana is strictly prohibited.
- Must comply with Federal, State and Local requirements for infectious disease protocols.

Pay: $40.50 per hour
