New Claims Reporting Coordinator
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The position of New Claims Reporting Coordinator is to ensure that all new claims are reported and filed with the respective Insurance Carriers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review documents provided by the Public Adjusters to make sure the information provided are consistent and accurate. Inconsistent or inaccurate documents are rejected back to the Public Adjuster for correction.
- If a claim is rejected, inform the Public Adjuster why it?s being rejected and follow up with them on a daily basis until the revised documents are received.
- Send list to Claims Manager to obtain claim rep assignments.
- For some designated claims, report the claim to the Insurance Carrier and submit the paperwork.
- For other claims, other members of the New Claims team the number of New Claims to be processed.
- Submit all documents and checklist for New Claims Reporting to other members of the New Claims team with any additional special instructions.
- Address any questions or concerns from the team reporting the claims.
- Add the claim to the company?s internal claims tracker.
- After the claim is opened in our Claim Management system, update the estimating master list.
- Follow-up and ensure that all claims are reported to the Insurance Carrier timely.
- Properly categorize each claim for accurate email tracking
- If contract is amended, it must have head of Public Adjusters approval prior to moving forward with the claim.
