Hunter’s Head is a renowned tavern opened in 2001. The current owner took over at the beginning of 2026 after extensive renovations. We reopened in March of 2026 with the intent to become the best British pub in America. The team is headed by Jarad Slipp, a Master Sommelier and CIA/ICIF trained chef. He brings his lifetime of fine dining experience and wealth of wine knowledge to establish a new take on old classics.

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef ready to follow our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality plates encompassing design and on-point flavors
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Planning, directing and overseeing food preparation as necessary
- Resourcefully solving any issues that arise and seize quick control problematic situations
- Managing and training kitchen staff
- Establishing work schedules and assessing staff’s performance
- Ordering supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Current Serve Safe certification
- Familiar with industry’s best practices

Compensation / Benefits
- Salaried, based on Expertise & Experience
- Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s)
- 50% Discount across all group restaurants (Knead Wine, Tremolo Bar & Hunter’s Head)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
