Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and create personalized experiences that keep them coming back.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage recipes, including signature cocktails and seasonal specials; develop new drink ideas to enhance our menu.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service events like banquets or catering functions to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Skills
- Extensive experience with Toast POS system for smooth transaction processing.
- Proven cocktail crafting skills with a strong knowledge of mixology techniques and beverage recipe development.
- Experience working in fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality environments.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, brewing processes, and beverage presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Background in food service or restaurant experience; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures within the hospitality industry.
- Previous bar management or supervisory experience is advantageous but not required.
