SAGE Dining Services® is seeking an experienced Lead Cook with a passion for cooking to join our team at a private pre-K through 12th grade private school in the West-side/Bellevue area of Nashville, Tennessee. This Cook will work the afternoon/evening shift.
Our ideal candidate is someone experienced working in a high-production culinary environment, preferably a school or institution. However, training will be provided, and there is room to grow your career in culinary!
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Hours may range from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- School holidays off.
- Some catering events and weekends may be required
- Hourly rate varies based on experience

What you'll do:
- Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests’ expectations.
- Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
- Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
- Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
What you'll need:
- Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
- Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.
