Automotive Shop & Dealership Helper
Join our growing automotive team as an Automotive Shop & Dealership Helper! This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with vehicles and wants to build valuable skills in automotive repair, auto body work, detailing, and dealership operations. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, body repair professionals, and sales staff while assisting with a wide variety of tasks that keep our shop and dealership running smoothly.

Duties
- Assist with auto body repairs, including sanding, masking, undercoating, and accessory installation (fender flares, etc).
- Perform vehicle detailing, including washing, vacuuming, polishing, interior cleaning, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery.
- Clean, organize, and maintain the automotive shop to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Keep the dealership lot clean, organized, and professionally presented at all times.
- Organize vehicle inventory and move vehicles throughout the lot and shop as needed.
- Pull vehicles up for customers, sales staff, and service appointments.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting vehicle parts and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, battery charging, tire rotations, tire pressure checks, and vehicle inspections.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness of dealership inventory.
- Help maintain shop equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks as required.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Experience
- Interest in automotive repair, collision repair, detailing, or the automotive industry.
- Previous experience in automotive repair, auto body repair, detailing, or vehicle maintenance is preferred but not required—we are happy to train motivated individuals.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working both indoors and outdoors.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
