Overview
We are looking for an individual to come in and help during the end of the day from 3:30 until 5:30. There is plenty of opportunities for more hours if you want them but you are guaranteed 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision and behavior management.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment aligned with daycare center standards, including classroom experience and daycare experience best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns, fostering strong parent engagement and support.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
- Administer first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, demonstrating preparedness to handle minor injuries or health issues promptly.
- Support infants and toddlers with specialized care routines such as infant care and toddler care, ensuring comfort and developmental needs are met.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to provide inclusive care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or will be provided upon hire to ensure safety standards are met.
- Experience working within mandated reporting laws ensures you are prepared to handle sensitive situations responsibly.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children fosters a collaborative environment focused on growth and well-being.
