SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
An Environmental Sample Technician is responsible for supporting soil remediation and reclamation operations in the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct soil, water, and air sampling for environmental assessments.
- Assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation.
- Operate and maintain field equipment for environmental monitoring.
- Support heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter for safety.
- Perform labor-intensive activities, including drum collection and waste handling.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed field logs and documentation for reporting.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) or Trade Certificate required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Ability to walk over uneven terrain, carry field equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and perform sampling activities such as hand auguring.
- Pre-Employment drug screening required per state regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Must be customer-focused, highly motivated, and work well in a team environment.
