Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, ensuring quick and correct processing of food service transactions
- Prepare and assemble food items following safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food production needs
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and handle cash handling responsibilities with precision
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, upselling menu items, and offering recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards, including bussing tables and sanitizing work areas
- Support food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food industry standards
- Proficiency in POS system Toast POS or similar platforms for retail sales transactions and order management
- Strong cash handling skills combined with basic math abilities for accurate processing of transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and supporting food preparation tasks
- Experience with retail sales, upselling techniques, and food safety practices is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and restaurant operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
