Responsibilities
- Assist in managing client accounts by providing tailored logistics solutions and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Support the coordination of transportation planning, shipping logistics, and freight brokerage activities to ensure timely deliveries
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and EDI platforms to process shipments, track freight, and update data entry records accurately
- Collaborate with carriers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to optimize transportation routes and negotiate competitive pricing
- Help ensure compliance with international trade regulations, FDA regulations where applicable, and trade documentation standards
- Participate in lead generation efforts through outbound calls and digital outreach to expand the customer base
- Contribute to dispatching activities by assisting with freight scheduling, carrier selection, and dispatching operations
Skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics operations
- Experience or familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms
- Knowledge of freight brokerage processes, shipping logistics, and carrier sales strategies
- Excellent negotiation skills for contracts, pricing agreements, and transportation sales negotiations
- Ability to manage customer relationships effectively through B2B sales techniques and account management practices
- Awareness of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and FDA regulations when applicable
- Proficiency in data entry, dispatching tasks, and using logistics software tools for efficient operations
