Job Purpose
An established and growth-focused trucking company headquartered in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks a strong driver with an excellent safety record for regional and OTR line haul deliveries. Out 2-3 nights per week home every weekend.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles
Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading and delivery receipts
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
Develop and maintain professional and effective relations between our company and our customers
Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear
Inspect equipment for safe operating conditions as required by state/federal laws and HM Lally, Inc. standards and procedures
Fuel trucks and tractors.
Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
21 years or older
Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers’ License
Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
Satisfactory background check
Pass HML road test
MUST be on time and be flexible with hours
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations that govern a safe work environment
Read, write, speak and understand English well. Executive timely load updates to dispatch
Be able to operate a motor vehicle safely

Required Experience: CDL Class A 1-2 Years OTR driving experience
