We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a casual dining environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen management. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary knowledge, and the ability to train and develop team members effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the bar and kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure all team members are performing their duties effectively.
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in culinary techniques and customer service.
- Maintain inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage waste to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and high morale among staff.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction during their dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a casual dining or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including food safety regulations .
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
