Athena Consulting Group is seeking a qualified professional firm or consultant to provide comprehensive Information Technology (IT) support, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management. You will play a critical role in supporting a staff of 25-30 professionals who work both on-site and remotely, while helping us transition from on-premises infrastructure to a modern cloud-based environment.
Major Duties: Provide day-to-day onsite IT operational support for RTC staff across Microsoft 365, endpoints, network connectivity, and general user-support functions.
Serve as the primary onsite technical support resource for workstation troubleshooting, printer and peripheral support, Microsoft Teams support, conference-room support, user onboarding and offboarding, password resets, account provisioning, and equipment deployment.
Coordinate and manage helpdesk tickets through the organization’s ticketing platform, ensuring timely response, escalation, communication, and resolution tracking.
Support administration of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and user-license coordination.
Assist with SharePoint migration support activities, file-access troubleshooting, OneDrive synchronization issues, and user adoption support.
Provide operational support for the organization’s existing VPN environment during transition activities and troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting remote and hybrid staff.
Coordinate endpoint patching, workstation-health follow-up, inventory tracking, and equipment lifecycle activities.
Support cybersecurity operational activities including security-awareness coordination, phishing-training participation, endpoint-security follow-up, and implementation of organization security policies and procedures.
Maintain regular onsite presence to support staff operations, troubleshoot issues that cannot be effectively resolved remotely, and coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.
Assist with WiFi troubleshooting, conference-room technology support, Zoom/Teams meeting support, and operational readiness during onsite meetings and events.
Document recurring issues, operational procedures, inventory changes, and technical troubleshooting activities to support long-term operational continuity.
Escalate advanced technical, infrastructure, networking, cloud, or cybersecurity issues to senior engineering resources when appropriate while maintaining ownership of operational coordination and communication.
Support operational continuity during outages, connectivity disruptions, equipment failures, and other incidents requiring onsite coordination and technical response.
Provide professional, responsive, and user-friendly support to agency staff in a hybrid operational environment.
