Job Description: Mortgage Support Specialist
Reports To: SVP Mortgage Division
Wage Classification: Non-exempt
Supervises: No Supervisory Responsibility
JOB SUMMARY
The Mortgage Support Specialist is primarily responsible for serving as a receptionist in the Mortgage department greeting customers, managing walk in traffic and answering phones. Specialist will provide a high level of customer service, sense of urgency and professionalism. Additionally, Specialist will support Mortgage Division and will assist SVP Mortgage with administrative and operational duties within the department. This position is detail intensive, requires excellent communication skills and strong judgement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform administrative duties to include but not limited to greeting customers and answering phones

Prepare reports and provide support to the Mortgage department

Supports the department’s clean desk policy by sweeping printers and scanners
- May train and serve as backup to other positions in Residential Mortgage Division

Ability to show discretion and confidentiality with executive-level matters

Other duties as needed
This position is considered non-exempt and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum 2 years administrative or operational experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office program skills (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in mortgage lending, real estate, or banking
- Experience working with Encompass
