Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our retail team. Duties
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with product information, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Provide friendly and professional phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or follow-up calls
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and monitoring product levels
- Engage customers in retail sales techniques to promote store promotions and new products
- Ensure a clean and organized checkout area to facilitate efficient transactions and positive customer interactions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales within a grocery store or similar retail environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math is essential
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for team support roles
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer populations
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to perform product demos, upselling, and merchandising tasks effectively
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments will be advantageous
