Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met while maintaining a positive atmosphere for both employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
- Assist in cooking and food preparation
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting; casual dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food service management with knowledge of kitchen management practices.
- Experience with inventory control and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
- Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
