Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service both in-person and over the phone.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently.
- Take accurate to-go orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items, wait times, and reservation availability while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, takeout area, and dining space to uphold food safety standards.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, fostering a hospitable environment that encourages repeat visits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant hosting, or hospitality roles is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a desire to learn!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing guest checks.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Experience in restaurant reservation management and guest services is a plus.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper hygiene standards is essential for ensuring guest well-being.
