Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rough and Trim HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves both rough-in installations during the construction phase and trim-out tasks to complete HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rough-In Installation: Install ductwork, refrigerant lines, and ventilation systems during the initial phases of construction, ensuring all components are correctly placed and meet industry standards.
- Trim-Out Tasks: Complete the installation process by setting up HVAC equipment, registers, grilles, thermostats, and other finishing components, ensuring systems are fully operational and aesthetically pleasing.
- System Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests to verify system functionality, identify any issues, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies during installations and service calls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, services performed, and any equipment or materials used.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of work performed and addressing any questions or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician, specifically in rough-in and trim-out phases.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using HVAC tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- EPA Section 608 Certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
