Job Description – Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented professional to join our freight forwarding and logistics team. This position combines customer service, operations coordination, shipment management, and cross-functional communication to ensure the successful movement of customer freight from pickup through final delivery.
Position Summary
· The Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for customers while also supporting day-to-day operational activities related to freight movement and shipment coordination.
· This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work closely with multiple internal departments, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient and timely transportation services.

Primary Responsibilities
· Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment requests, transportation needs, quotes, service updates, and issue resolution.
· Work with internal departments including operations, dispatch, warehouse, pricing, accounting, and carrier management to identify the most efficient and cost-effective routing solutions for customer shipments.
· Prepare and provide accurate freight quotations based on customer requirements, carrier pricing, transit times, and service levels.
· Coordinate shipment pickups and deliveries while ensuring all service requirements and timelines are met.
· Monitor active shipments and proactively communicate status updates, delays, exceptions, or delivery confirmations to customers.
· Track freight movement and ensure all shipments are properly documented and updated within company systems.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
· Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
· Assist in resolving shipment issues, service failures, claims, and operational challenges in a professional and timely manner.
· Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, and transportation regulations.
· Maintain accurate records of shipment activity, customer communications, pricing information, and operational documentation.
· Support continuous improvement efforts related to customer service processes and operational efficiency.
· Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
· Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service preferred.
· Strong understanding of transportation operations, shipment coordination, and freight movement.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
· Professional demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
· Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or logistics software is a plus.
· Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and teams.
