Winston Knolls School is looking for compassionate and dedicated Classroom Assistants to support students in reaching their individual goals both academically and socially.

As a Classroom Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to support students in the classroom and throughout their daily routines. You’ll help create meaningful learning experiences, encourage independence, and celebrate student successes big and small.

Supporting students during classroom lessons, small groups, and activities

Assisting with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans

Helping students build communication, social, and daily living skills

Preparing fun and engaging classroom materials

Tracking student progress and behaviors

Assisting with classroom routines and learning activities

Supporting students with physical needs such as eating or toileting

Using technology and assistive devices to enhance learning

Collaborating with teachers and staff to help students thrive

Participating in training and professional development opportunities

Helping maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
We’re seeking caring, dependable team players who are ready to make an impact.

High school diploma and Paraprofessional License required

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, speech, or a related field preferred

Illinois State Board of Education Substitute Teacher License preferred

Experience working with children with autism or related disorders is a plus
This role is active and hands-on. Candidates should be able to:

Bend and kneel regularly

Lift up to 50 pounds when needed
